Getting there from College Green: Hop on bus numbers 48, 66, 66B or 170 at the bus stop. Alight before Newton Circus (bus stop 40049). Walk to the bus stop on Scotts Road outside the Newton MRT Station (Bus stop B40189). Hop onto bus number 54. Alight outside Clarke Quay (Bus stop B04219).

 

Alternatively, take the MRT from the Botanic Gardens Station (Circle Line CC19) just across College Green to Bishan Station (Circle Line CC15), switch to the North-South Line (heading towards Marina Bay), and alight at City Hall Station (North-South Line NS25). Walk up North Bridge Road from Raffles City (about 500 metres) and turn right at North Boat Quay.

 

Remarks: More a night spot than a cultural landmark, Clarke Quay and the adjacent Boat Quay are dining and drinking playgrounds for locals and expats on weekend evenings. Visit at night. It is close to Funan Digitalife Mall, the Asian Civilisations Museum, Raffles City and Parliament House.
