Getting there from College Green: Walk to Adam Road bus stop (around the Adam Road Food Centre and opposite the Singapore Bible College). Bus stop number B41129. Take bus number 855. Alight at Jalan Bukit Merah right after the large Alexandra Road-Queensway- Bukit Merah Junction (bus stop number B11019 – about 13 stops after Adam Road). Walk round the traffic junction to IKEA.

 

Remarks: One of two Singapore branches of the giant Swedish home furnishing outlet, IKEA is ideal for bed linens, table and kitchenware, cookware and cutlery, and simple furniture and storage. You can buy 18-piece table sets and spilt them with other students.

 

The Anchorpoint Mall across the road is good for cheap outlet clothes shopping. Queensway shopping centre at the big junction is also good for sporting goods, especially sports shoes.
