Getting there from College Green: Hop on the MRT at the Botanic Gardens Station (Circle Line CC19) towards HarbourFront.  Alight and change at Buona Vista Station (Circle Line CC22) to the East-West Line towards Pasir Ris or Changi Airport. Alight at Tanjong Pagar Station (EW15). Walk 200 metres up Maxwell Road to the URA Centre at 45, Maxwell Road. The City Gallery is on the second floor.

Remarks: In our opinion one of the essential places to visit early on in student life, the URA City Gallery is a fully interactive showcase of Singapore’s development from Third World to First. Featuring informative and visually-arresting displays of Singapore’s city planning efforts, the City Gallery gives the newcomer a comprehensive understanding of the degree of consideration that has gone into the urban planning process.

The City Gallery has the added advantage of being right next to the famous Maxwell Road Food Centre, to which one can adjourn for lunch after the visit.

The URA City Gallery is also next to the charming Ann Siang Hill and Club Street district and Chinatown, all of which can be included in a day trip.
