Getting there from College Green: Hop onto bus number 156 at the College Green bus stop. Alight at the Macritchie Reservoir bus stop (B51071).

 

Alternatively (more options and faster): Walk across Adam Road Food Centre and cross Adam Road to the Singapore Bible College bus stop (B41121). Take either 93, 157, 165, 852 or 855. Alight at the Macritchie Reservoir stop (B51071).

 

Remarks: Singapore’s oldest reservoir park, Macritchie has a host of forest trails, water-side walkways and good views of the freshwater catchment reservoir. Fishing is allowed at designated spots and there is even a kayaking company which allows rentals. It can be very quiet on weekday mornings and a good place for a picnic or an adventure walk.

 

The Macritchie Reservoir Park has trails that eventually connect to the HSBC Treetops Walk. However this requires a time budget of at least 4 hours and fairly good map reading skills.
