Getting there from College Green: Hop on bus number 48 from the College Green bus stop. Alight at the bus stop opposite Parkway Parade (B94021). Cross Marine Parade Road using the overpass. Walk to the end of Marine Parade Central (Parkway Parade on your right). Go around the public multi-story car park at the end and behind the NTUC Fairprice supermarket. Look for the underpass that will take you across the East Coast Parkway into the Park.

 

Alternatively, take the MRT from Botanic Gardens Station towards Marina Bay or Dhoby Gaut, switch to the East-West Line at Paya Lebar Station (CC9). Take the East-West MRT towards Changi Airport or Pasir Ris. Alight at Bedok Station (EW5). Walk to the Bedok Temporary Bus Interchange. Take Bus number 401. Alight at East Coast Park Service Road at the Cable Ski Park (B93159).

 

Remarks: East Coast Park is Singapore’s main beach playground and comprises 15 kilometres of beach, walking and jogging trails, bicycle rentals, food centres and restaurants and public chalets and barbeque pits. It is linked through the Park Connector Network to Bedok Reservoir and even to Changi Village in the deep east of Singapore. Apart from the seaside activities, it is also provides a stunning view of the world’s greatest merchant marine anchorage just offshore.

 

It can be very difficult to reach by public transport, but can be nice to visit on a sunny weekday morning.
